Open kitchen / dining room area painted different colors
A saturated color was used on several planes in this room:
The perimeter and all trim, ceiling and cabinetry were "painted out" in Benjamin Moore Linen White.
Pratt and Lambert Algerian was used on the wall above the cabinetry and is balanced by the french red and burgundy tiles on the fireplace-surround on the opposing wall.
Devine Ale was used on one plane of the free-standing wall.
Warm colors were used to make this large open room with cathedral ceilings more cozy.
The somewhat modern architecture juxtaposed with warm wood floors, antiques and oriental rugs is now nicely balanced.
