Soft Blue Wall Paint Color in My Guest Room

I love this black, blue and neutral color scheme
The blue wall paint color I chose for my guest bedroom was made by California Paints and it was called "It's A Boy!". My inspiration for the wall color was actually the walls in the salon where I get my hair cut. They have this blue, black and neutral color scheme going on there, and I loved it.
But the blue color in the salon was more vibrant and invigorating, while I wanted something really soft and soothing, something that would be easy to wake up to, and not dark during the evenings.
I stared at the California Paints palette for ages and ages until I found a blue that looked icy, refreshing and cool, yet soft and gender neutral.
It has a powdery cast with a hint of gray, and makes my guest room look really soothing.
I am so so so so SO happy with how it turned out!
Just the right amount of white and black, balanced by this beautiful soft blue. The draperies and bedding add texture that you need to balance out the flat blue paint, and it works so well!
I can't even say how happy I am.
The only problem I had was, the paint seemed to separate a lot during the painting process, so shake the can a ton! I had to apply way more coats than I ever would normally because some of my touch-ups just looked like a completely different color. It was really weird.
